Illegal Music Downloading At Record High

In a very dubious study, Entertainment Media Research claims illegal music downloading is at an all-time high.  There is of course the not-so simple issue of what is defined as legal and illegal downloading.  But, one trend is for sure.  The growth of social networks which include music features has democratized the music industry.  No longer are people in boardrooms the tastemakers of the music world.  Consequently, there preferred artists may simply not cut it anymore.
